God does amazing things! I have repeated this statement many times in my life as a believer because I am continually amazed by His grace. From my personal deliverance from a life a destruction, to the blessings I have received through my lovely and godly wife, Carolyn and our two adult children, Bryce (his wife Ashley) and our daughter, Sarah. I have much reason to rejoice.

God’s grace has not been limited to my personal life. I am amazed that God has chosen to work through me by calling me to vocational ministry. After serving in churches in Michigan, Kentucky, and Texas, in 2009, God lead Carolyn and I to Wabash, Indiana. In our time here, we have seen God carry us and the church through great challenges and pour out great blessings.

My desire, as I seek to love God, love people and serve both here at New Life Baptist Church is to always be amazed by the transforming work of God and His amazing grace.

My entire life has been an experience of learning to trust God’s provision. When I realized He was calling me into full-time ministry, I was on my first mission trip. Discovering what this looked like led me to pursuing further Biblical education and
obtaining a degree in Intercultural Studies. While at school, I met my wonderful wife, Emma, who was majoring in the same area. We immediately bonded over our hearts for taking the gospel of Christ to the unreached.

While serving in youth ministry was not high on our list of places we expected to be; time and time again, the Lord has proven that His plan and purpose for our lives is far better than we could ever imagine. While I am confident that the Lord will lead us overseas at some point, I am overwhelmingly happy to be serving the people at New Life. Jesus’s parting command
to us was to make disciples everywhere, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do so at New Life, encouraging and building up the next generation in their love for Christ.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was 14 years old, and knew God was calling me into ministry by the age of 16. I have a passion for God’s work to be done wherever He has me. A few of the relational things I enjoy are golf, games with teens, listening to and playing music.

I have learned many things about God as I have sought to follow Jesus in my life. Two that stick out to me: first, I am here only because the grace of God, and secondly, God’s plan for my life is much better than my own.

I am married to a wonderful woman, Sarah, and we have the most beautiful kids, our daughter Arya and our son Kaladin. Serving at New Life has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives, being able to share life, and most importantly Christ, with the people of Wabash.

God has called our family to serve as missionaries in the Country of Cambodia! We are working towards that goal right now while serving at New Life. We know God wants to use our families’ gifts and abilities to serve the people of Cambodia by helping to meet some of their physical needs, and most importantly, their spiritual need of knowing Jesus as their savior. I would ask you to join us in praying that God will provide all that is needed for us to get to Cambodia.
